Clujana Sports Club

"We address both those who want to engage in organized sports at a recreational level and those who pursue competitive performance at the highest possible level. It's not a contradiction; it's precisely the strength of a real multisport club: under the same roof, under the same identity, each player finds their appropriate place for their goals."

More about CS Clujana

Our mission

We are guided by three simple principles:

Structured amateur sport - for everyone who wants to engage in regular physical activity in an organized setting, with coaches, a schedule, and a community, without the pressure of a sports career.

Semi-professional sport - for players and athletes who aim for performance, official competitions, and real technical progress.

Sport for all - without barriers of age, gender, or level. What matters is the desire to engage in serious sports.

The history of the club from 2001 to today

CS Clujana was founded in 2001 and, over the years, has gone through several stages of development. A few important milestones:

The era of women's football (2001-2012)

The club was founded in 2001 byFlorin Chelaru, in collaboration withMirel and Teodora Albon, under the initial name Women's Football Club Clujana Cluj-Napoca (CFF Clujana).

In the early part of its history, CS Clujana was the most successful women's football team in Romania in the 2000s. The achievements speak for themselves:

7 consecutive National Champion titlesbetween2003 and 2009(seasons 2002–03, 2003–04, 2004–05, 2005–06, 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09)

4 Romanian Cupsin women's football

The first title won just 2 years after the club was established

Although the women's football section ceased operations in 2012, this part of history remains a point of pride for the club and a testament to our competitive tradition, a record that very few clubs in Romania can match.

Building the Futsal section

Meanwhile, we developed the futsal section, affiliated with the Romanian Football Federation (FRF), which gradually became the core of our indoor activities. Here we achieved the most consistent performances of recent years.

Expansion as a multisport club (2025-2026)

Recent years have marked the transformation of CS Clujana into a truly multisport club:

2025 - official affiliation with the Romanian Minifootball Federation (FRMF) and the launch of the minifootball section

April 2026 - official affiliation with the Romanian Cricket Federation and the start of building a competitive team

2026 - opening of the Boxing (non-competitive), with the goal of future affiliation to the Romanian Boxing Federation
